Legal Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Salary: From £13.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Position: Part-time
Contract: Permanent

Location: Lowestoft Office
Start Date: Immediate start available

 

 

About the Role

 

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, both in person and by telephone. The role requires a welcoming and professional manner, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a range of reception and administrative duties efficiently.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate with strong communication skills to develop their experience within a welcoming office environment. Previous legal reception experience would be advantageous, although it is not essential, as training and guidance will be provided.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The role will include:

 

  • Operating the switchboard and directing calls appropriately.

  • Greeting clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Dealing with client enquiries face to face, by telephone and by email.

  • Managing incoming and outgoing post.

  • Undertaking general reception duties.

  • Carrying out typing and general administrative tasks as required.

  • Supporting colleagues with day-to-day office administration.

  • Working both independently and as part of the wider team.

 

About you

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • A professional and confident telephone manner.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Accurate typing and general administrative skills.

  • A well-organised and proactive approach to work.

  • Confidence using case management systems and other relevant legal technology.

  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently.

  • A self-motivated and reliable attitude.

  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Previous reception or office experience.

  • Flexibility to cover annual leave days as part of a job share arrangement.
