Goodwin Cowley Solicitors remains open and continues to provide legal services, but our offices remain closed to the public.

We have, however, implemented the following measures in line with government advice:

  1. Face to face meetings will now only take place when there is no viable alternative.
  2. Wherever possible, appointments will take place over the telephone and documents will be emailed or posted for signature.
  3. Some of our staff members will be working from home.
  4. Please put any paperwork you want to drop off through our letterbox, or send in the post
  5. Please make any necessary payments by telephone or bank transfer

There may come a time when we, or representatives of other parties, are advised to shut their business premises.

If that happens, we will endeavour to continue to provide services, but these may, inevitably, be limited and there may be some unavoidable delay in dealing with your matter.

If your matter is a conveyancing matter, you may not complete the whole process of purchasing or selling your house before the stamp duty allowance ends and therefore you may be liable to pay the full stamp duty if your matter does not complete before the deadline for any tax exemption or reduction.
