DISPUTE RESOLUTION FEES

We are instructed on a wide range of disputes to try and resolve matters. These are sometimes resolved through simple correspondence between parties - or their legal representatives - but often mediation is engaged and/or proceedings are initiated at court.

We offer a fixed fee of £3,500 (+VAT) to try and resolve your matter amicably. 

​

If the matter becomes contentious (sophisticated negotiations are entered into, court proceedings are started, mediation is agreed, etc.) then we will discuss the additional work involved and our fees will switch to a timed fee. Timed fees are based on the time worked on your matter based on the hourly rate of the fee earner as set out below. Payments are ordinarily paid on a monthly basis according to the time spent working on your matter during the month.

Hourly Rates of Members of Staff

Grade A £330.00 (plus VAT) - Senior Lawyers of PQE 5 Years or more and Heads of Department

Grade B £295.00 (plus VAT) - Lawyers of PQE up to 5 Years

Grade C £250.00 (plus VAT) - Trainee Lawyers under Supervision by Grade A and senior Fee Earners

Grade D £200.00 (plus VAT) - Legal Assistants, Caseworkers and other Fee Earners

We understand that legal costs can be expensive, particularly in cases where is no designated timeframe or you may be struggling financially. We will always seek to balance the costs of seeking resolution with your living expenses and any costs you can eb expected to recover once the matter is resolved.

Payment Plans

 

One way we aim to help is by offering payment plans based on the work expected to be undertaken, your living expenses and what payments you can realistically afford each month. We can discuss payment plans with you where an agreed amount is paid by you on an agreed date each month, with any outstanding legal costs to be paid upon settlement of the matter.
