Conveyancing – Fee Earner

The Role

A well-established law firm based in Norwich, Lowestoft & Kessingland with an excellent client base who are seeking a Solicitor, Legal executive, or Licenced Conveyancer to head up the Residential Conveyancing department.

The opportunity in this role as a Residential Conveyancer you would be entrusted to undertake all aspects of residential conveyancing and property work handling a mixed caseload with minimum supervision. You will have your own caseload but also help other fee earners when needed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate who wants to progress further in their career in law with the support of the firm.

Responsibilities: –
  • Manage the conveyancing process for residential property transactions from start to finish.
  • Review and draft legal documents, including contracts, deeds, and mortgage agreements.
  • Conduct title searches and ensure the property has a clear title.
  • Coordinate with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation to complete the transaction, such as transfer of ownership forms and mortgage applications.
  • Attend closings and ensure all necessary documents are signed and executed properly.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or questions throughout the process.
  • You will have prior experience in delegating work and supervising junior fee-earners and support staff.
Requirements: –
  • 3+ Years PQE preferred but not essential as a Residential Conveyancer
  • In-depth knowledge of residential property laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using conveyancing software and other relevant tools.
  • Be an ambitious and driven person with long-term aspirations to grow the department.

Private Client – Fee Earner

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a well-established law practice with offices in Lowestoft, Kessingland and Norwich. The firm is seeking a hardworking individual who can hit the ground running with a varied private client caseload of matters including but not limited to: – Probate, Court of Protection, wills and LPAS and with a focus on elderly and vulnerable client matters, in particular wills & trusts and financial management. You will be working with a range of local clients and will have lots of client contact, meaning you can build lasting relationships with your clients. You will be joining a friendly, close-knit team who will provide support if and when you need it.

The firm is seeking a solicitor or Legal executive with a number of years’ experience behind them and a passion for private client work. You should have an approachable manner, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to form lasting relationships with both colleagues and clients. You should be highly organised and have a good eye for detail. An interest in Business development would be required so you can be part of driving the department forward.

Requirements:-
  • This role would suit a senior solicitor with at least 6 years’ PQE looking for a route to Partnership, or an existing Partner seeking a new challenge.
  • You should have experience running your own caseload alongside business development activities.
  • You should have a history of strong billings.
  • You should be confident in delegating work to junior fee earners.
  • You should be ambitious and keen to progress and grow with the department.
  • Have a membership with STEP.
